THE
BEACH
Located between the Pool Bar and the accommodations, adjoining
the pool and overlooking the Caribbean, the Beach Club features
a man-made, white sand beach with lounge chairs free for the
use of guests.
The beach is private for the use of resort
and bar guests only and is only a few steps from the pool
and some of the best snorkeling waters of the Caribbean. So
good, in fact, that many of the dive boats choose to dive
directly off Lands End, providing an interesting diversion
for beach goers as they launch and recover their divers just
a few yards offshore.
You will find some of the finest snorkeling
and diving just a few steps down the ladder directly into
the Caribbean and onto the reef.
Our beautiful “iron shore” is
actually ancient reef thrust out of the water eons ago. Thus,
we are located “directly on the reef” with no
need to take boats or long swims to enjoy its many fascinations.
A platform leads you 30ft from the pool to the concrete step
entrance into the caribbean sea.
Snorkeling
Right in front of Lands End Resort we have 2 popular dive
sites. Snorkeling is excellent right off the ramp.
The reef top is about 130ft wide. It gently slopes down to
about 40ft depth and then suddenly drops to about 150ft depth.
That wall is frequented by turtles and eagle rays.
You can snorkel just outside or take a left and go all the
way to half moon bay beach (40min) or lighthouse restaurant
(60min).
